  • CRETE-SANTORINI Island life at its finest!

    October 8-14, 2022

    Unwind in the beautiful scenery, meet its authentic people, become fascinated with mythology, history and local stories that span in the millenia. A journey through traditions and true hospitality. Fall in love with delicious local food, with Cretan ‘raki’, discover the Cretan wines. In Santorini, we will focus on its wines, the volcanic soil of their vineyards and taste some internationally acclaimed wines.

    Day 1. Saturday, October 8: Chania
    Arrive at Chania International Airport on a morning flight from Athens.  Meet tour host and transfer by private bus to our hotel in the port. Meet fellow travellers.  After a welcome drink, we will start a walking tour with our local guide in the old part of the town and unfold the layers of its rich history.  Welcome dinner in traditional seafood restaurant with local specialties.  Overnight with breakfast at Hotel Porto Veneziano or similar in the old port (D).

    Day 2. Sunday, October 9: Chania
    Early morning departure with private bus towards the Olive groves in the west side of Chania, near Kolimbari, where some of the best olive oils are produced.  Οlive oil tasting. Continue to a local winery for a tasting with lunch. Afternoon free. Overnight with breakfast at Hotel Porto Veneziano or similar in the old port (B,L).

    Day 3. Monday, October 10: Chania-Rethymno -Heraklion
    Early morning departure with private bus towards Rethymnon.  Have a guided visit of the famous fortress and the old town. Visit a local winery for a tasting and lunch.  Depart with our bus to Heraklion for overnight.  Overnight with breakfast at Hotel Olive Garden or similar (B,L)

    Day 4. Tuesday, October 11: Heraklion
    Early morning departure on foot with our local guide to visit the Heraklion Archaeological museum and marvel at the minoan treasures.  Continue with private bus to visit 2 wineries and have lunch.  Return to Heraklion for overnight. (B,L)

    Day 5. Wednesday, October 12: Heraklion -Santorini
    Early morning departure with a fast ferry to the island of Santorini.  Arrive by noon, settle in our hotel and have lunch.  Visit 2 wineries and enjoy the sunset with magnificent views from the caldera, while enjoying your wine! Overnight with breakfast at centrally located hotel in Santorini (B,L)

    Day 6. Wednesday, October 13: Santorini
    Day for exploring the notable wineries of the island.  We will visit 3-4 wineries.  Free afternoon on our last day in Santorini.  Group farewell dinner in local restaurant. Overnight with breakfast at centrally located hotel (B,L)

    Day 7. Thursday, October 14: Santorini-Athens
    After breakfast, transfer by private bus and assistance to Santorini airport for return flight to Athens International airport (air ticket not included)

    The tour ends here. 

    Some of you might want to extend their stay in the island of Santorini and some will want to return to Athens.  Please indicate if you wish to return or stay on the island.  We can assit you with  making your accommodation arrangements.

    Single supplement: 320 euros (for single occupancy room throughout the tour)

    Deposit payment: January 25th, 2022, the sum of 500 Euros to secure participation

    1st Installment: March 1st, 2022, the sum of 800 Euros
    Final Installment: April 15th, 2022, the remaining sum of 1,100 Euros

    CANCELLATION policy (Specifically for this group) (all cancellations must be submitted in writing) 

    Before March 1st: Full refund minus an administrative fee of 100 Euros
    March 1st-April 1st: Full refund minus an administrative fee of 250 Euros
    April 1st- May 1st: a 50% refund of total rate per person
    May 1st- May 15th:  a 25% refund of total rate per person
    May 15th-June 1st: No refund
