Athens to Evia Island

An hour and a half drive from Athens city center to the north, we will cross the cable bridge of Chalkida and step on to the 2nd largest island of Greece! Evia island has a close proximity to Athens and is favoured by many Athenians as a weekend destination. Many Athenians keep summer houses on the island. 

  • We will visit a mushroom farm on the foot hills of mount Dirfis and learn about mushrooms grown in the farm. During the months of October and November, we may also visit the mountain and forage wild mushrooms. Once we complete the tour to the mushroom nurseries, we will make our way to their shop for a mushroom treat. They operate a delicatessen were you may purchase home delicious foodstuff made with mushrooms.
  • We will continue to visit a winery for a tour and a lovely wine tasting.  In the winery, they have a spa and offer facial treatments* with beauty products made from grapes.

  •  Lunch at a local restaurant with traditional delicacies.
